How to securely destroy CPU’s and hard drives

By storing unneeded CPU units or hard drives you are creating potential risk. Although the items might be stored under lock and key, there is still the chance of unwanted access or in some case, we find the units are forgotten about over the years of storage.
Above is a photo from a recent service in the San Antonio market. The service required both the destruction of hard drives already out of the CPU unit as well as hundreds of CPUs full of their hard drives. Our onsite truck quickly shredded the hard drives there at the location. The team then brought the CPU units to our secure facility and removed the hard drives. Once removed, each hard drive is securely shredded.
